Delhi Daredevils registered their first win in over two weeks when they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets at the Feroz Shah Kotla.
Openers David Warner (30) and Shikhar Dhawan (28) had given the visitors a fiery start after being asked to bat but once the openers departed, Sanju Samson dropped Yuvraj on 29 and the dashing left- hander exploited it to hit his second fifty of the season, Yuvraj took some time to settle down on a slow pitch but gradually stroked the ball nicely.
His 70 came off 41 balls with 11 fours and a six. He also added 93 runs for the unconquered fourth wicket with Moises Henriques (25 off 18) to set the target 185/6.
Leg-spinner Amit Mishra played a crucial role in choking the Sunrisers batsmen as he gave away only 23 runs in his four overs and also got rid of Dhawan.
Mohammed Shami took two wickets for 36 runs and a special yorker which takes Warner wickets.
The opening pair of Sanju Samson and Karun Nair gave a solid start to their team and added a total of 40 runs for the first wicket, In the fifth over, Samson was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj for 24 runs.
Later, Karun Nair (39), Rishabh Pant (34) and Shreyas Iyyer (34) provided the much-needed push to the team total and added 107 runs in the middle of the innings.
Corey Anderson emerged as the highest scorer from Delhi side as he played a knock of 41 runs off 24 balls and hit 3 sixes and 2 fours.
By the end of the game, Chris Morris joined the party with Anderson and score a quick 15 runs off 7 balls, that Delhi chased 185 runs in 19.1 overs.
