Reliance Jio’s Happy New Year offer has come to an end. On 1st January 2017, Jio announced that Jio services will no longer be free from 1st April. In order to use Jio services, you will have to get either a Jio Plan.
What is Jio Prime?
As Jio has already offered free services since Months, it is not going to be free anymore. Jio is bringing the change with JIO PRIME Subscription. It is simple a way to lock or filter the subscribers who actually liked jio services and willing to use it more. It only costs Rs. 99/- for the entire year and after this you have to subscribe monthly plans to avail free data and voice calls.
The last date of enrollment for JIO PRIME Membership is 31st March as announced by the company.
What will happen if you enroll into Jio Prime Membership?
If you will subscribe to Jio Prime Membership then you will get more data for the same price.
Let’s take an example –
Rs. 303 Jio plan will give regular users 2.5GB 4G Data and Free Calls. But Jio Prime Members will get 28GB 4G Data, Free Calls and Unlimited data at the speed of 128Kbps in case the 28GB limit get exhausted.

Yes, Jio Prime Membership is available for both pre-paid and post paid users. There are three recharge plans for Postpaid users – Rs,. 303, Rs. 499 and Rs. 999/-
What will happen if you don’t subscribe to Jio Prime?
If you don’t want to subscribe to Jio Prime then there are other recharge plans starting from Rs. 19/- to Rs 9999/-. You will get free voice calls, SMSes and limited amount of 4G data under these offers
