Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years (as on closing date).
Upper-age relaxations: SC/ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen and other categories as per Govt/BSF rules.

Educational Qualifications

For HC (Radio Operator) – Any one of the following:

10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as regular subjects with aggregate 60% in PCM; OR
Matriculation / equivalent + 2-year ITI in relevant Electronics/Radio/Telecom trades; OR
3-year Diploma in related branches such as Electronics, Electrical, Computer, Instrumentation, etc. from a recognized institute.

For HC (Radio Mechanic) – Any one of the following:

10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as regular subjects with aggregate 60% in PCM; OR
Matriculation / equivalent + 2-year ITI in relevant Mechanic/Electronics/Electrical trades; OR
3-year Diploma in related Engineering disciplines from a recognized institute.

Physical Standards (PST) – Snapshot

Height (Male): 168 cm (relaxations as per category/region); Height (Female): 157 cm.
Chest (Male): 80 cm + 5 cm expansion; Weight: as per height/age standards.

Selection Process

Phase-I: Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (RFID based).
— PET (Male): 1.6 km in 6 min 45 sec; Long Jump: 11 ft (3 chances); High Jump: 3 ft (3 chances).
— PET (Female): 800 m in 4 min; Long Jump: 9 ft (3 chances); High Jump: 3 ft (3 chances).
Phase-II: Computer Based Test (CBT) – Objective type (English & Hindi).
Phase-III: Documentation & for HC(RO) candidates: Dictation Test (50 marks) & Paragraph Reading Test (qualifying). HC(RM): Detailed Review Medical Examination (as applicable).
Final Merit: Based on CBT (and Dictation for RO) + qualifying all stages, followed by medical fitness.
