Who Can Apply? — Eligibility
Nationality
Applicants must be Indian citizens. In addition, subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who arrived before 1 Jan 1962, and persons of Indian origin from specified countries are eligible provided they possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Educational Qualification (as on 01.08.2025)
Generalists: Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Specialists: Degree or professional qualification specific to the stream (Engineering, Law, CA/CMA, MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS, IT, Actuarial papers etc.)
Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025)
Minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years. Age relaxations apply as per rules: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy) – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years, Ex-servicemen and other categories as notified.
Salary & Benefits
Starting basic pay is Rs. 50,925/- in the scale of Rs. 50,925-2500(14)-85,925-2710(4)-96,765. Gross emoluments in metropolitan centres are approximately Rs. 90,000/- per month. Benefits include NPS, gratuity, medical benefits and accommodation per company rules.
Selection Procedure — Three Phases
- Phase I – Preliminary (Online Objective Test): 100 marks covering English, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. Duration: 60 minutes.
- Phase II – Main Examination (Online Objective + Descriptive): Objective test (200 marks) and Descriptive test (30 marks, English only).
- Phase III – Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Weightage: 75 (Main exam) : 25 (Interview).
Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted for every wrong answer in objective tests. Blank answers carry no penalty.
